Part P Course for Existing Electricians/Domestic Installers
The Part P Course or DEI (Domestic Electrical Installer Award) is an electrical course suitable for experienced electricians or domestic installers who previously held or currently hold recognised electrical qualifications or that are time served with a good understanding of electrical installations.
The Domestic Installer Award (Part P) is available as a standalone qualification. Installers that undertake full or part re-wires must be compliant with Part P of The Building Regulations. This course is designed to ensure that the operative has a full understanding of Part P. You will be assessed via practical assessment under exam conditions and complete multi choice written papers.
- Course Duration: 5 days
- Qualifications: Domestic Installer Award Part P
- Accredited by: Logic Certification
A Part P qualification will help demonstrate competence and support an individual’s application to join a Competent Persons Scheme.
Please note: Before we can accept a booking from an existing electrician or domestic electrical installer that we must verify your suitability for acceptance on to this course. You must hold existing electrical qualifications before we can accept your booking for this standalone course. Usually, 17th Edition wiring Regulations as a minimum is acceptable. Whilst we appreciate that this may be frustrating for time served electricians, we have a responsibility to ensure that standards are upheld and that we try and match people to the most appropriate course for them.
Continuous Professional Development opportunities are also open to you. You may wish to progress from this stage and you may want to think about 17th Edition Wiring Regulations or the Advanced Testing and Inspection Course which incorporates Initial and Periodic Testing and Inspection qualifications at QCF Level 3.
The Part P course as standalone qualification is not suitable for new entrants with no previous experience. If you are a new entrant that wishes to join this exciting industry please see Professional Electrical Courses for new entrants.
