PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICAL TRAINING IN 3 SIMPLE STEPS
Designed to ensure you receive the best possible training and preparation for your new role as an electrician.
Step 1: Centre Led Training
Our professional electrical training is delivered in small groups on either a full or part-time basis. You will receive centre led instruction at one of our own fully equipped electrical training facilities. Essential theory is combined with practical training sessions that build your confidence and knowledge. The course incorporates the new 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and DEI Qualifications - sometimes referred to as Part P. Receiving your JIB/ECS card, you will be able to seek employment and earn while you train.
Step 2: On-Site Work Experience
During step two, you will work alongside a qualified electrician as a paid trainee, collecting evidence for your NVQ portfolio. You will also continue to work on your knowledge units, completing them in your own time. Drop-in sessions and online support will be available throughout this time. Work experience is an essential part of the three-step course and will help to build confidence and knowledge.
Step 3: AM2/Gold Card
Following your on-site work experience, you will undertake your AM2(Achievement Measurement Test).
An independent assessment of your skills, this is undertaken by an independent AM2 centre.
YOU ARE NOW A QUALIFIED INSTALLATION ELECTRICIAN
Upon gaining your JIB/ECS 'Gold Card', you are awarded the status of 'Installation Electrician'.
'Gold Cards' are renewable every three years.
At Options Skills, our professional electrical training course is designed to suit anyone from beginners wishing to become an electrician to existing tradespeople who want to add electrical training to their skill set.
People of all ages and from all over the world have become electricians with Options Skills.
The industry is characterised by poor service and unreliability. Some tradesmen exploit customers and rogue practice is regularly publicised. Consumers and companies are therefore wary of who they appoint and employ, often finding it difficult to find a reliable and trustworthy electrician. However, when they do they use them again and again and recommend them to others. Options Skills have devised their 3 step electrician training and support packages based on years of industry experience. Genuine opportunities exist for people who are dedicated, passionate and hard-working.
If you decided to retrain for a new career as a qualified electrician, you must ensure you have chosen a provider who will be able to meet your needs and deliver a high-quality service - providing you with the perfect platform from which to launch your career.
Here at Options Skills, we pride ourselves on providing our students with best opportunity to start a career as an installation electrician. We offer support both throughout and after training, including marketing opportunities.
