ACS Initial Assessment: ACS Gas Training Courses at Options Skills

Options Skills’ ACS gas course is available in a range of qualifications. The Initial ACS Assessment is exclusively for gas trainees that are going to take their very first ACS Assessment as a new entrant to the Gas Industry. ACS Initial Assessment is only available for people that have followed an approved learning plan, not necessarily with Options Skills but it must be a recognised learning plan that includes on-site portfolio building.

During your assessment programme you will undertake written, practical and verbal assessment against the Domestic Suite of ACS Gas course qualifications that include:

  • CCN1 Core Gas Safety
  • CENWAT Central Heating and Water Heater
  • CKR1 Gas Cookers
  • HTR1 Gas Fires
  • CPA1 Flue Gas Analyser

For more information on what’s included please request a full course syllabus.

  • Course Duration: 80 guided learning hours plus on-site portfolio building
  • Qualifications: ACS Gas training Qualifications listed above
  • Accredited by: Logic Certification

This course is available on a full time basis.

Once you have successfully attained your ACS Gas qualifications through our course you may contact Gas Safe Register and apply for membership.

Please note: ACS gas training qualifications must be renewed every 5-years, they are not evergreen. This ensures that all practising gas safe engineers are always aware of current legislation and best practice within the industry. There are no exceptions to this rule regardless of the number of years’ experience that a person has gained.

Please note: Acceptance on to this course is subject to you being able to demonstrate that you have followed an approved gas learning plan. If you are a brand new entrant to the Plumbing and Gas Industry you may wish to consider the Central Heating and Gas Foundation Course that incorporates pipework skills before you can enrol on this course.

If you are an existing Gas Fitter you will be able to undertake the ACS Renewal Course.
