The Fast Track Course provides the trainees with the theatrical, practical aspects and assessment in areas such as pipe bending and jointing skills for copper tube to City & Guilds requirements, pipe bending and jointing skills for steel pipe to City & Guilds requirements’, install and test steel pipe, installation and commissioning of domestic heating systems, Combustion, Flues and ventilation. The characteristic of a gas engineer is to have high awareness of the safety procedures and making that one of your biggest priority. You will be amazed as to how much attention to details will play a big role when you start work.
Good technical knowledge and skills is required and some history in science will be an advantage. Effective communication skills are essential and you should deal with the customers in patient and friendly manner. Great team work skills are necessary and you have to show a responsible attitude during work as nothing is more important than the safety of the customers, your teammates and yourself.
As a person you would have to be physically fit as the work is very practical which includes bending, lifting and using heavy machinery.
