Green Deal Creates Demand for Heating Engineers

The demand for trusted heating engineers and fitters is set to begin rising in 2011 as the coalition government’s Green Deal is put in place. This is good news for anyone wanting to become a heating engineer – especially because Options Skills offers heating engineer and GAS Safe courses.

The Green Deal offers households funding to increase their energy efficiency and is due to be implemented in late 2011. The Green Deal is set up for consumers to save money on their bills and reduce the UK’s carbon footprint. This has been projected by the government to drop by 60% before 2030.

This means that more jobs will be created in the industry to satisfy the expected demand. Energy and Climate Change Secretary Chris Huhne said recently that:

“The Green Deal is a massive new business opportunity which has the potential to support up to a quarter of a million jobs as part of our third industrial revolution.”

The government fully support this initiative with Huhne further adding:

“Energy efficiency is a no-brainer. We need to tap into this huge market to save people money on fuel bills, save carbon and help the economic recovery.”

Options Skills offers a variety of plumbing, gas and electrical courses which will lead to you becoming a qualified engineer.
