The global construction industry is expected to improve dramatically in the next decade with the plumbing industry at the forefront of this boom. This shows further promise for those currently undertaking plumbing courses or considering them in the future.

A report from Global Industry Analysts (GIA) was recently released which highlighted the future of Plumbing Fittings and Fixtures. The report found that the global plumbing industry is predicted to be worth an estimated $49.3 billion by 2015.

This is due to an increased demand in residential construction. The report particularly attributes people wanting new kitchens and bathrooms as a major factor to give the plumbing world a major boost.

What the report found & how it will affect plumbing courses

The GIA report found that demand for new plumbing fixtures is up, with homeowners preferring to upgrade their existing kitchens and bathrooms with the latest models.
There is also a greater demand for plumbing products that save water and cut down on waste. New products like whirlpool baths and integrated shower systems are expected to be successful in the coming years.

This is all good news for those that are undertaking plumbing courses as it means that work will be available for many years to come. It is also good news for those considering completing plumbing courses as a further reason to start a new career in an expanding industry.
