Options Skills has developed a five-step electrician course in Birmingham.
The course provides you with real practical skills and industry-recognised qualifications that will enable you to gain paid work after the first stage of your training.
We deliver the first stage of training in our fully-equipped training centre in Birmingham City Centre. You will join a small group of trainees who have the same goals and requirements as yourself, and training commences with practical, hands-on instruction.
This stage of training takes 30 days, and you can complete it on a full-time or part-time basis.
In step two, you will create a portfolio of work, working as an electrical trainee alongside a qualified electrician. Our recruitment team can assist you in finding employment at this stage.
Through a mixture of home-study and centre assessment, you will then work towards and complete assessments in Inspection and Testing.
After the first three stages of training, you will complete your AM2 assessment, and upon successfully passing, you’ll be ready to apply for your ECS Gold Card and Installation Electrician status.
Upon completing all five stages of training, you’ll be eligible to apply for Approved Electrician status.
