(Stage 1) Part-Time Flexible Gas Training to suit your requirements
Our part-time gas program is designed to grant you the flexibility needed to seamlessly integrate your training into your existing commitments.
You’ll engage in 28 days of hands-on, in-centre practical training, conveniently spread over a flexible part-time schedule, complemented by 14 days of essential theory. This theoretical component can be completed at your convenience, either online or in-centre, to help with your busy schedule.
Our experienced instructors will guide you through the journey, imparting practical expertise within our state-of-the-art workshops and essential theoretical knowledge within our physical or virtual classrooms. This approach offers you the utmost flexibility as you embark on your exciting new career as a heating engineer.
(Stage 2) On-site Experience & Portfolio Building
Under the supervision of a Gas Safe registered engineer, you’ll embark on invaluable on-site work experience, steadily building a comprehensive portfolio that reflects your growing expertise.
Stage two of your training is essential, not only for your personal development but as a legal prerequisite. During this phase, you will revisit our centre for a thorough progress assessment.
This assessment encompasses a portfolio review, a summative evaluation, and a series of assessments, including three written assessments, one practical assessment, and a meticulous portfolio assessment.
*We will work to secure a placement for you with a qualified gas engineer in your local area for the second stage of your training if required.

(Stage 3) ACS Assessment & Gas Safe Registration
Upon completion of your portfolio, you will return to the training centre for your final ACS exams.
This consists of your ACS Initial Assessment which will test you on gas safety and the full domestic suite of appliances.
ACS qualifications are essential for any gas engineer as they enable you to apply to the gas safe register.

What Qualifications Will I Earn?
As part of our flexible training route, you’ll attain identical qualifications offered in our full-time domestic gas MLP. Upon successfully completing all training sessions and exams, you’ll qualify to join the Gas Safe Register.
The following are the LCL-assessed qualifications you will receive upon course completion:
